LINKS Europe:
Turning hundreds of voices into one clear direction.

The Challenge.

In 2021, the European Union launched the Conference on the Future of Europe – a continent-wide conversation asking: What should the EU become? How should it act towards neighbours and new members?

The Hague needed to contribute. But with hundreds of stakeholders – diplomats, policymakers, NGOs, think tanks, ordinary citizens – the question was: how do you turn diverse, often contradictory perspectives into something coherent enough to guide decisions?

It was brand discovery at scale. Not logos or taglines, but the harder work: defining identity, purpose, and direction when everyone has a different answer.

What I Did.

Working with LINKS Europe Foundation, The Municipality of The Hague, and The Hague Humanity Hub, I led the strategic communication:

Synthesis: Across 10 curated events, I listened to hundreds of voices, then distilled what mattered – the patterns beneath the noise – into reports clear enough to guide EU policy.

Strategic writing: Turned complex, multi-stakeholder discussions into actionable recommendations submitted directly to the European Union.

Narrative development: Created the 10-part podcast series 'Global Europe Unpacked', translating dense policy debates into analysis that people could actually follow.

Multi-channel coordination: Managed events, content creation, and distribution – ensuring The Hague's contribution landed where it needed to.

The Result.

The Hague's contribution was one of the standout city-level engagements with the Conference on the Future of Europe. I synthesised hundreds of voices – diplomats, activists, citizens, experts – into reports that captured the full range of perspectives without losing nuance or clarity.

Those reports went directly to EU decision-making bodies and circulated amongst policy experts across Europe. They were praised for being comprehensive yet coherent – proof that you can honour complexity without surrendering to confusion.

It's the same challenge growing companies face: taking dozens of contradictory voices – co-founders, teams, customers, advisors – and turning them into one clear direction everyone can work from.
